Wandering in the dessert

No, no more

Instead, I enter the gate

And follow the trail

Determined, knowing It

Is my purpose

Having felt it in heart

Since before I had known it to be there

The road, my road, our road

Is beauty itself

Rugged

Thin

Straight

It appears to have no end

I care not

I simply follow

Whomever has gone before me

At peace, No fear

Walking gracefully, leisurely

On either side

Are meadows of flowers

And honeyed springs

Their scents envelop my very being

Wrapping me in majesty

Clothing me in their purity

Sanctifying me with purpose

I need not stop

For I am not weary

I need not drink

For I am not thirsty

The Spirit leads me on

Always with me

Through pain and toil

In joy and laughter

Teaching and encouraging

In every season of life

The spirit also

Grants me the Light

For my Path

These Words, oh, the Words

They are my Air

My very Breath

Sweet to the tongue

And Life itself

I know this path

This journey

Was rendered with a cost

A sacrifice, oh so dear

A sacrifice that required One

To give up lofty glory

For Temptation

And Suffering

If only it were that

But true Sacrifice requires more

More from my Savior?

More from my Love?

Sacrifice to Death

Was the cost

To build the road

My road, Our road

Which is why

My feet stay planted

To my beautiful rugged road

To both Calvary and Glory both
